From the 19th to the 22nd of February the Transition Year’s took a trip to Carlingford Adventure Centre in Co. Louth. After a two hour bus journey we arrived in a small town and were given our rooms. I was staying in a room with 5 other boys which was a lot of fun. We all picked our beds and got ready for our first activity. Carlingford was tough for me because many of the activities involved heights which I’m not comfortable with but I tried my best at every activity and had a lot of fun with my friends doing them. My favorite activity was Lazer Tag. I was put on the red team and we won the overall event. My least favorite activity was canoeing because it was freezing cold and many complained about it from start to finish. I also loved how much free time the centre allowed us to have because we could go to the games room or to the shop and chat to everyone to see how their day went. Carlingford was really good overall and I’m so glad I went.
