On the week of February the 26th to the 2nd of March I was scheduled to work in Vodafone in Sandyford. However, due to the inclimate weather that came barreling through I was unable to complete the week. I did the first two days which I did enjoy. I attended my week with Rachel Morris and four other students joined us. On the first day we split into two groups of three and we evaluated deals that vodafone could potentially put into place that would attract teenagers around our age. I found this very interesting as they loved our ideas and said that we may see some of these coming out in a few weeks. Later on we looked at new products that Vodafone will be releasing in the upcoming months to expand their business. We looked at these products and compared them to their potential competition.
Tuesday was the better of the two days. On Tuesday morning, we were in the Aviva in the morning for Vodafone's open training session. We were in the Vodafone private box as helpers. One of my jobs was to go around to the kids and ask players what they would like to ask the players later on. Some of the questions they came up with were actually very good and funny. After the session ended, a few players came up to the box. I was talking to Gary Ringrose at length as I was helping the children to get pictures with him for about 30 minutes. After that we went back to the Vodafone office. The whole squad came back to the office and visited us. I was able to get a group picture with many players. This was a really cool experience.
Although the two days were a really enjoyable experience I was disappointed that I did not get to finish my week there and hope that I get the opportunity to reschedule.
